O controlo estrutural do desenvolvimento da gruta n\u00e3o \u00e9 claro. A gruta formou-se na zona fre\u00e1tica com a \u00e1gua a circular em dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 boca da gruta. Com a \u00a0descida relativa do n\u00edvel de base, a gruta passou para a zona vadosa inativa. A descida do n\u00edvel de base estar\u00e1 associado \u00e0 movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o tect\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p>Introdu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p>Durante alguns anos este levantamento geol\u00f3gico esteve \u201cna gaveta\u201d e chegou agora a hora de ver a luz do dia. O levantamento topogr\u00e1fico foi realizado pelo Grupo de Espeleologia e Montanhismo, em 2016, com os trabalhos de campo liderados por Jos\u00e9 Ribeiro.<\/p>\n<p>Localiza\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p>A Gruta dos Morcegos situa-se na localidade na Uni\u00e3o de Freguesias de Alvados e Alcaria, concelho de Porto de M\u00f3s, distrito de Leira, na unidade hidrogeomorfol\u00f3gica do planalto de Santo Ant\u00f3nio, no Maci\u00e7o Calc\u00e1rio Estremenho. A gruta desenvolve-se no extremo Oeste da eleva\u00e7\u00e3o que separa os polges de Minde e Alvados, n\u00e3o muito longe do seu topo, com a entrada a abrir-se \u00e0 cota 436m. A forma\u00e7\u00e3o segundo Manuppella et al, 2000, \u00e9 composta por calc\u00e1rios. Integra segundo Crispim, 1995, a Forma\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00e1rsica do Jur\u00e1ssico M\u00e9dio. Trata-se de uma forma\u00e7\u00e3o com potencial de casifica\u00e7\u00e3o elevado.\u00a0A gruta situa-se num bloco calc\u00e1rio, tectonicamente pela Falha de Alvados-Minde e falhas associadas. A gruta \u00e9 atravessada por v\u00e1rias fraturas sobretudo de atitude E-W\/Vertical, que na maior parte gruta n\u00e3o condicionam o seu desenvolvimento mas que na sala de entrada e sobretudo no tro\u00e7o terminal da gruta aparentam controlar esses setores. Algum controlo associado \u00e0 atitude das camadas \u00a0(N40W\/20SE) n\u00e3o \u00e9 de excluir, embora n\u00e3o seja evidente.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00e9nese<\/p>\n<p>A gruta formou-se na zona fre\u00e1tica, de acordo com a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de B\u00f6gli, 1980, como evidenciado pela sec\u00e7\u00e3o arredondada, vagas de eros\u00e3o e c\u00fapulas, existentes na gruta. A gruta \u00e9 atualmente um tro\u00e7o fossilizado de um antigo coletor que com a descida relativa do n\u00edvel de base passou para a zona vadosa inativa. A descida do n\u00edvel de base estar\u00e1 associado \u00e0 movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o tect\u00f3nica, dada a cota elevada a que a galeria da gruta se desenvolve, 433m a 403m e \u00e0 proximidade \u00e0 Falha de Alvados-Minde, que de acordo com Cabral e Ribeiro, 1988, \u00e9 uma falha ativa. Um abatimento na parte terminal da gruta, do qual resulta o caos de blocos que preenche grande parte da galeria, provocou o seccionamento deste tro\u00e7o do restante da gruta.<\/p>\n<p>Paleocircula\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As vagas de eros\u00e3o observadas t\u00eam um comprimento que variou entre 0,5m e 0,4m, com o sentido de circula\u00e7\u00e3o grosseiro para a entrada da gruta.<\/p>\n<p>Conclus\u00f5es\u00a0A Gruta dos Morcegos \u00e9 uma gruta que se desenvolve num bloco tectonicamente elevado, entre os polges de Minde e Alvados, em calc\u00e1rios da forma\u00e7\u00e3o de Calc\u00e1rios Micr\u00edtos da Serra de Aire (Jur\u00e1ssico M\u00e9dio). A cavidade tem um desenvolvimento total de 207m e um desn\u00edvel de 33m. O controlo estrutural do desenvolvimento da gruta n\u00e3o \u00e9 claro.
